Twitter To The Rescue

📝 This Week’s Goal: Learn how to leverage Twitter to market your writing and build your audience.Photo by Chris J. Davis on Unsplash; Edited by the Author

When anyone asks what my favorite social platform is (outside of Medium, of course!), I answer with Twitter. Sure, Twitter has received its fair share of bad press lately, but it’s still my favorite for connecting directly with people. As writers, it’s also a fantastic tool for connecting with and building an audience.

I also like Twitter because of the required brevity. Yes, you can go on a tweetstorm or create a thread, but at its core, Twitter is about keeping it simple. There’s something magical about fully conveying your thought in 280 characters or less.

Consider Twitter a two-way road. Don’t just post out into the void. Connect with people; engage in conversation; share other people’s work you enjoy. The more you do these things, the more your own audience grows. This helps when sharing your own work.
