The 3 How’s On Writing Consistently

Currently, we are about to face new year, which means new topics that we writers are going to write about. Focusing on Christmas thoughts and New Year resolutions.

Writing has been a part of me since it started as a hobby and changed to a habit overtime. Writing aided me because it allowed me to express such thoughts in my mind and share them with others.

It is then said by Eko where ‘There is a sense of continuity and consistency. With the promise of continuity and consistency, the result is within reach’ which then relates to the current topic of why you should start writing consistently.

Writing caused my mind to imagine such words and how I could converse with certain people. And through that, I’ve been a consistent writer.

Inspirational quote from a writer with 2k+ followers, Yana, who then said, ‘Know what you want to do, hold the thought firmly, and do every day what should be done, and every sunset will see you that much nearer to your goal’ — She also followed it up by saying that she has not taken any breaks since 10 months of writing here, on Medium. Through consistency, you will be in a win-win situation that benefits you as a writer and your writing.

If you want to improve your writing and be a consistent writer, I have provided you with these three guidelines to start emptying your ink.

1 | Start utilizing your schedule

‘Managing your time wisely improves work-life balance and increases happiness. Good time management also reduces stress and allows you to achieve your goals faster and easier (Mark P. 2020).’

You don’t have to wake up very early to write. What you just need is a time allowance. As a result, because you devote some of your free time to writing, your article will also be of high quality.

2 | Before you start writing, create an outline

From Meggan’s blog, she relates the topic, ‘These articles will need proper research and a dedicated amount of time to do them justice’

Create and list ideas first for your piece, which serves as a guide as you write. Writing a book or an essay with your thoughts laid out and ideas on paper will help you write consistently, because with this, in case you are lost, you can frequently glance at the paper with your ideas on it.

3 | Find yourself a goal

From the blog by Leona, she mentioned that ‘the biggest reason that I join these challenges is because it brings me an external push, a motivation to write’

By setting a goal, you’ll have no choice but to complete it. Although it can be tiring at first, through setting up objectives, you find yourself a reason why you write, which leads to consistency.

Readers or audiences need a consistent writer to follow, and through consistency, they’ll notice that you put effort into your article, which makes your readers appreciate their reads more.

You should start writing consistently to gain experience and get more consistent followers.
